DeSantis officially makes his intentions known
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis filed documents with the FEC declaring his presidential candidacy. DeSantis will announce his candidacy for President of the United States during an event on Twitter Spaces with Elon Musk, CEO.

The 44-year old governor was born and raised in Jacksonville, but he was brought up on the other side in Dunedin. DeSantis was a star in both academics and sports as he grew up. He played baseball at Yale, and then earned his law degree from Harvard Law School with honors. DeSantis, after graduating from law school, joined the U.S. Navy and served as a JAG Officer. He was also deployed to Iraq to advise U.S. Navy Seals in Fallujah & Ramadi.
DeSantis’ campaign will be heavily focused on the huge achievements he made as Florida’s governor, also known as the “Florida Blueprint,” and how he could transfer these successes to the federal level as President of the United States.
