Pete Davidson is ‘unaware’ of what’s happening with the Staten Island Ferry he purchased

Pete Davidson said he and his former "SNL" colleague Colin Jost are still trying to figure things out after they purchased a Staten Island ferry while "very stoned."

Pete Davidson and Colin Jost, his former “SNL,” colleague, are still trying figure out what happened after the two purchased a Staten Island Ferry when “very stoned.”

He told “Entertainment Tonight”, on Monday, at the New York City premiere of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.

“Me and Colin bought a boat last year when we were both very high. We’re figuring out what it is,” said Davidson who voices Autobot Mirage.

When asked if the 277-foot John F. Kennedy vessel would host an after-party, Davidson replied: “Yes, if it is not sunk!”

Italia said that Davidson and Jost bought the decommissioned boat for $280.100 in January 2022, with the help of real estate agent Paul Italia. According to the NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services, the ferry was built in 1965. It was decommissioned due to mechanical problems and sold at auction.

Both Davidson, and Jost were born on Staten Island. This may have contributed to their decision to purchase the ferry. Davidson said to People a few months after the ferry purchase that the owners had plans to build a bar, restaurant and entertainment area on the boat.

Jost’s boat was again brought up months later, during a guest appearance on ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers. It appeared that the two comics did not have any updates regarding the boat. Jost joked sarcastically that it was “going well” financially.

Jost stated, “This is the reason why idiots shouldn’t be allowed to do certain things.” “Pete bought the boat, and you’ve got to make a lot of decisions right away.”

He said that they created an entity when selling the ship, which they called the “Titanic 2”, which caused problems with insurance.

“They ask, ‘Is the docked? ‘” Jost spoke. “All these questions!”

“That’s one question,” Meyers quipped.

Jost used a Staten Island Ferry to announce the 2020 wedding of actor Scarlett Johansson. Meals on Wheels America shared a photo of an orange classic boat with “Jost Married,” written on top. The charity encouraged fans to donate.
