According to the La Verne Police Department, a California man was taken into custody for murder after he was caught trying to steal a laundry detergent grocery cart.
A patrol officer was near a supermarket La Verne, approximately 30 miles east Los Angles when he noticed a suspect running out of the store carrying more than 20 large bottles Tide detergent.

The man was being followed by a store manager. After obtaining his information, the officer got in touch with the man and located the murder warrant for him out of San Bernardino County.

The identity of the suspect was not immediately available.
Fox News Digital was informed by a spokesperson for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office that homicide detectives were currently investigating the case and would release additional information later in the week.
