QUICK ESCALATED: NYC Subway Assault Sends Men Tumbling Down Escalator

Two men were captured fighting on a New York City subway elevator last week. The two commuters continued throwing punches all the way to their deaths.

According to Fox News Digital, the incident took place on Thursday morning at 11:01 a.m. when “a 37 year-old male punched a male victim after a verbal dispute.” The NYPD confirmed that the incident happened on Monday.

The social media video with the caption “on my lunch break commute to Grand Central” opens with two people fighting on an escalator in front of onlookers.

In the video, which is approximately 30-seconds long, people are seen moving away form the dueling couple. In the video, you can see them fumbling down the steps with a frenzy of flailing legs and arms.

According to the NYPD, the suspect, aged 37 years old was taken into custody and charged with assault.

Fox News Digital spoke to the man who recorded the video on condition of anonymity. He said that it seemed like the incident broke out when one of the men on the left side of an escalator “refused” to move in the direction of the other.
