According to reports, a 31-year old woman who confessed to having sex and becoming pregnant with her child with a boy aged 13 will not be sentenced.

In June 2022, the Fountain Police Department in Colorado charged Andrea Serrano with felony sexual assault on one child by one in trust and sexual assault upon a child.
Serrano allegedly confessed to police that she had sex in public with the teenager. His age is not known. They detained Serrano at El Paso County Criminal Justice Center, while her case continues.

After a plea agreement with the prosecutors, Serrano could be freed and not face jail for her crime. The original charges were dropped to a lesser offense which does not require jail sentence.

According to KKTV Colorado, Serrano would have to register as a sex ofender and could be subject to a 10-year term on intensive supervised probation.

Because Serrano’s actions have irrevocably altered the victim’s life, his family is now looking at next steps.
“I feel like my child has been taken from me. He’s now a father. “He’s a victim and he’s going have to live with it for the rest his life,” said the victim’s mom to KKTV.

She demanded explanations as to why Serrano would not be sentenced for her crime and revealed that the family will take sole custody of the child Serrano had with the victim.
