Sacramento car accident kills one adult, and injures nine small children, as well as another adult

A Sacramento solo car crash killed one adult and injured nine small children and another adult late Wednesday. Preliminary information indicated the small sedan hit a tree.

Authorities said that an adult died and nine children, as well as another adult, were injured when a single car crashed on a Sacramento street at night late Wednesday.

Near the scene, Sacramento Police spokesperson Zach Eaton informed reporters that almost all of the injured victims were either in a serious or critical condition.

Children between 3 and 8 years old were described.

Around 8:15 pm, the crash was reported in the Northgate neighborhood about 4 miles from the Capitol. Eaton stated that preliminary information indicated the car was a small sedan which struck a large tree.

Eaton did not have any immediate information about the victims’ identities or relationships.

Eaton stated, “We hope to hear good news from our local hospitals.”
