Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders was selected to deliver the Republican rebuttal of President Joe Biden’s State of the Union Address. She absolutely took on Joe and his fellow Dems.
She presented her argument as a choice of “crazy” Democrats or “normal” Republicans.
“Being a mother to three young children taught my not to believe everything I hear. Please forgive me for not believing a lot of what President Biden said tonight. Sanders stated that Biden and the Democrats had failed you in everything, from out-of control inflation and violent crime to dangerous border crises and threats from China.
It’s time to make a shift. Let us tonight reaffirm the American tradition of government serving the people and not ruling them. She said that Democrats want to control us more, but that is not who they are.
“At forty, I am the youngest governor of the United States. He is the oldest president of American history at 80. My state is my first female leader. He is the first man to give up his presidency to a woke mob who can’t even define a woman,” she stated.
She added that Washington taxes you and sets your hard-earned dollars on fire. But you are crushed by high gas prices and empty grocery shelves. And our children are taught hate to one another based on their race but not to love each other or our great nation.
She said the Biden administration was “completely hijacked” by the radical left and that America’s “dividing wall” wasn’t a distinction between right and left.
She said, “The choice between normal and crazy is up to you.” It is time to elect a new Republican leadership.
“President Biden inherited an unprecedented economic recovery. This is the most secure border in history. Energy from the home is cheap and abundant. Fast-rising wages. A rebuilt military. A stable, peaceful world. “But over the past two years, Democrats have destroyed it all,” Sanders stated.
She added that “despite Democrats’ trillions of reckless spending and mountains debt, we now face the worst border crisis in American History.”
“Make no mistake, Republicans will not give up this fight. She said that Republicans will not surrender the fight if they don’t lead with courage.
“Republicans believe that America should be a place where families can thrive and live in safe communities. A place where there are many jobs and the number of paychecks is rising. She said that the freedom which our veterans gave their lives to defend is the birthright for every man, woman and child.”
America is great because it’s free. Today, however, freedom is under threat and the America that we love is at risk. You have been let down by President Biden and the Democrats. It is time to make a shift. “A New Generation of Republican Leaders is rising up… not as caretakers of status quo but to be changemakers for the American people,” she stated.
“We don’t know what the future holds but we do know who holds it in His hands.” With God as our witness we will prove to the world that America remains the land where liberty reigns and liberty will never cease,” she said.
