The Disney’s Bibbidi-Bobbidi Boutique used to call its cast members Fairy Godmothers in Training. However, the park has now changed the name to “Fairy Godmother’s Apprentices”, which is more gender neutral.
The video went viral quickly on Twitter, with mixed reactions.

Brandon Morse is a senior editor for Red State. He tweeted: “May you not suffer the same destruction to your legacy as Walt.”
Sara Gonzales, the host of The News and Why It matters onBlazeTV told her viewers to “stop taking their family to Disney.”

He said, “Stop looking for enemies everywhere. We have plenty of them.”
Disney Parks updated their uniform policy to be more inclusive in 2021.
In a announcement, a Disney official stated that they wanted their guests to be able to recognize their own cultures and traditions in the stories and experiences that they encountered in their interactions. We want to make sure that our current and future cast members feel like they belong at work.
The statement went on to say that “Inclusion is vital to our culture, and it leads us forward in realizing our rich heritage of engaging storytelling and exceptional service, as well as Disney magic.”
Our new approach allows for greater flexibility in terms of forms of expression, including gender-inclusive haircuts, jewelry styles, nail designs, costume choices, and visible tattoos. Our updated policies will not only allow them to remain relevant for today’s workplace but also help our cast members express their culture and individuality.
