Elise Stefanik, a senior member of the House Committee on Education and Labor (R-NY), absolutely crushed Democrats for COVID-19 protocol and mask mandates that are causing the learning loss in school children.
According to the Associated Press math scores fell to their lowest level ever, while reading scores dropped to 1992 levels. Nearly 4 out 10 eighth-graders fail to grasp basic math concepts.
“Democrats’ autoritarian mask mandates, prolonged school lockdowns and authoritarian mask mandates have failed our students and left an entire generation behind,” Stefanik said. Stefanik stated that we should laser-focus on rectifying this historical learning loss and getting our children back on track.
She continued, “Instead, New York’s far-left Democrat leaders have used COVID-19 Relief funds to advance their radical woke agenda inside the classroom and critical race theories indoctrination rather than providing students with basic math skills.”
She said that more than two-thirds (or even all) of eighth-grade students fail to be proficient in math and reading. It was imperative to end radical indoctrination in schools and get back to basics.
“Parents shouldn’t have to accept divisional instruction or the lowering academic standards. We should insist that all students are taught to excel in schools. House Republicans’ ‘Commitment To America’ will give parents more control over their children’s education, and allow them to choose the best learning environment for their children to ensure that they are prepared for success in life.
Children were the most affected by COVID-19, but they paid the highest costs.
