Four illegal immigrants from Venezuela were found and an alleged smuggler was arrested in Texas during a traffic stop

Authorities in Texas discovered a vehicle containing four illegal immigrants hailing from Venezuela, officials said on Thursday.

According to the agency, a special agent from the Texas Department of Public Safety was helping local authorities in Bracketville on Nov. 5, when they came across a Jeep Cherokee from Colorado.

Agent noticed several people hiding under blankets in the Jeep’s rear cargo area. Authorities said that the migrants were identified as two men and a woman, aged five years old, who were being smuggled into San Antonio from Eagle Pass.

They claimed that the driver, aged 29 years old, was trying to smuggle in the group.

Unidentified driver was also found with heroin and a glass pipe . He faces four charges of human smuggling as well as possession of a controlled drug.
