Before the U.S., Kinney County Sheriff Brad Coe testified. The House Committee on Homeland Security attended a field hearing on border security in Pharr (Texas) last Wednesday.

Coe stated that his deputies arrested 741 human traffickers last calendar year and filed more than 3,000 felony charges against the smugglers.

“This is a significant increase over the 2021 calendar year, when we captured 169 human smugglers. Coe stated that we are on track to surpass 900 smugglers this year.
