Video shows that a Texas Department of Public Safety officer tried to pull over a vehicle late in the month. He was then led on a high speed chase until the vehicle stopped. Several illegal immigrants fled from the vehicle.
The video was released Monday by Texas. It shows an officer approaching a Ford pickup truck at FM 481 in Maverick county on November 30, 2022. The truck quickly flees from the officer, who then jumps in his car to pursue the vehicle.

The Ford sped down the highway at high speed, weaving around other vehicles and blowing stop signs before finally coming to a halt.

The officer orders the driver to get out of her vehicle and put her hands up. Nine illegal immigrants are seen running towards the brush as the officer watches.

According to Texas DPS, Adelina Claudio was the driver and was charged with human smuggling.
Claudio later confessed to the trooper she was paid $900 for picking up the illegal immigrants and transporting them to San Antonio. She is facing felony charges for human smuggling, evading arrest and other crimes.

One of the illegal immigrants was later found by a Texas DPS trooper hiding under a tree. They were referred by U.S. Border Patrol.
