Three men were charged with murdering rapper XXXTentacion, Florida, in 2018. A jury returned a verdict Monday

The victim, who was 20 years old, was shot to the death outside a Deerfield Beach motorcycle shop, north of Miami.

According to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, the attackers attacked the rapper as he was leaving Riva Motorsports. An SUV then blocked the vehicle, and two masked gunmen emerged from it. Authorities said that one shot repeatedly at the rapper and that the attackers took a Louis Vuitton bag with $50,000 inside and fled in the SUV.

Last month, the trial of Dedrick Williams (26), Trayvon Newsome (24), and Michael Boatwright (28) began in Broward County. They were each accused with armed robbery, murder, and other charges.

They had all pleaded not guilty. Robert Allen, 25, pleaded guilty last year to second-degree killing and testified in the prosecution against the three others.

The prosecution claimed that Boatwright was responsible for the shooting, that Newsome was the second gunman, and that Williams was driving the SUV. The surveillance video was shown in court. It showed the moment that two gunmen armed with guns attacked the rapper’s car. One appears to have shot through the driver’s window.

Although the defense attempted to doubt Allen’s testimony, they pointed out the failure of detectives investigating XXXTentacion and Drake’s feud. However, prosecutors stated that there was no evidence linking Drake to this shooting.

If convicted of first-degree killing, they could all be sentenced to life.

March 8th marked the beginning of jury deliberations.
