Florida’s capital has arrested two escapees from Georgia prison and a girl wanted for helping them escape.
WCTV-TV reported Wednesday that John Mincey and Meahki Carter were taken into custody in Tallahassee.
Mincey, aged 30, and Carter (18, are accused of fleeing from the Tattnall County Jail, Reidsville, Georgia on October 10.
A Tallahassee state court arrest affidavit on Thursday stated that Mincey attempted to flee the U.S. According to television stations, Mincey was spotted at a convenience shop and was taken into custody after a “physical altercation” with law enforcement officers. Bradgon, 24 was taken into custody while driving a nearby car.

Carter tried to run, but was stopped by U.S. Marshals. He was found by Marshals at an apartment complex in Tallahassee.
Mincey was taken into custody in Georgia for kidnapping and assault. He and another man allegedly abducted a teenager they thought was stealing. They threatened him with a gun and forced him to jump from a low bridge over a creek before abandoning him there.

Carter was convicted of armed robbery and aggravated assault as well as possessing a weapon while committing a crime.

Tattnall County warrants charge Bragdon with helping to plan the escape. She was also recorded discussing such matters.
Bragdon, Carter, and Mincey are currently in Tallahassee while they await extradition to Georgia.
