Tn Tinder date allegedly carjacks woman, offers to sell automobile back to her for 500 usd

Elijah Darius Scott of Memphis, Tennessee, allegedly carjacked his Tinder date and stole other items before later offering to sell the vehicle back to the victim for $500.

A Tennessee man is accused of kidnapping his Tinder date and trying to buy her car back for $500.

According to local outlet WREG, Elijah Darius Scott (25), from Memphis, Tennessee was booked into the Shelby County Jail Tuesday. He was charged with carjacking, aggravated robbery and employment of a weapon during a dangerous felony.

According to the alleged victim, Scott demanded money and her phone after she agreed to meet Darius. He threatened to shoot her .

Panicked, Scott fled the 2007 Kia Rondo victim, taking her purse, iPhone, and $50 in cash.

The victim reported the incident to police. Scott sent her a text and offered to buy her car back for $500.

Scott is currently in jail on a $260,000 bond. He was also charged in July 2021 with being one of four men who allegedly stole $60,000 worth items from a Memphis woman’s house.

The authorities claimed that Scott was among the three people who found the stolen goods in the house next to them. However, the charges against Scott were dropped later.
