Trump’s allies explode in fury at the indictment of the former president

Donald Trump’s most fervent allies in Congress, including Republicans Kevin McCarthy, Jim Jordan and Marjorie Taylor Greene, erupted in fury at his indictment.

WASHINGTON — Donald Trump’s most passionate Capitol Hill allies broke out in fury as news about his indictment rocked America. They ran to his defense and decried the New York County District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s prosecution of GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump as a political witchhunt designed to influence the 2024 elections.

tweeted “Outrageous” Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), who is using his positions as chairman of the Judiciary and Weaponization of the Federal Government Committees to investigate Bragg’s work.

stated that Kevin McCarthy, the House Speaker, was endorsed by Trump in his bid to be a speaker. He said that Bragg had “irreparably damaged our nation in an attempt at interfering in our Presidential Election” and “weaponized [our sacred system of justice] against President Donald Trump.”

McCarthy also acknowledged the GOP-controlled House Committees probing Bragg for Trump’s prosecution: “The American People will not tolerate such injustice. The House of Representatives is going to hold Alvin Bragg, his unprecedented abuse of power, accountable.”

Jordan along with James Comer (R-Ky.), Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, and Bryan Steil (R-Wis.) sent a letter to Bragg asking him to testify before Congress regarding his investigation into Trump’s hush money payments to Stormy Daniels.

Tweeted Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas), Trump’s former White House doctor. It has been proved that President Trump did nothing wrong. This is nothing but a political stunt in order to stop Trump becoming President in 2024. WITCH HUNT!

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (Republican from Georgia), was about to deliver a Lincoln Day speech in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on Thursday night. tweeted: “The irony that I stood on the battlefield when I discovered President Trump had been indicted”

Greene stated that Trump was innocent and “the sole one standing in the path of these modern-day tyrants” just as our founding fathers to protect us all from evil.

She continued, “Impeach Biden.” He’s given us all the reasons and the family bank records and many more are giving us receipts. Now, the gloves are off. All crimes must be prosecuted. This witch hunt of bullshit is over.

On the opposite side of the Capitol is Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), tweet: “The hatred that the Democrat Party has for Donald Trump knows no boundaries.”

Cruz, a former Texas solicitor-general, stated that the “substance” of political persecution was “utter garbage.” “This is totally unprecedented and is a devastating escalation of the weaponization in the justice system.”
