U.S. Coast Guard looking for a man who fell off a Carnival cruise ship in Florida

The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a 35-year-old man who fell overboard while on a Carnival cruise ship near Florida on Monday, according to a statement.

According to a announcement, the U.S. Coast Guard has launched a search for a man aged 35 who fell overboard on a Carnival Cruise Ship near Florida on Sunday.

A man fell into the sea while he was on board the Carnival Magic, which was located about 186 miles to the east of Jacksonville.

The cruise corporation released a statement that showed security footage showing he fell into the water after he leaning over the railing on his balcony at 4:10 a.m. Monday.

His companion reported him missing late on Monday.

The only identifying information released by officials is the man’s age.

The U.S. Coast Guard released the cruise ship from its search and rescue operations and it will continue on to Norfolk, Virginia where it is scheduled to arrive Tuesday.

Carnival stated that the Carnival Care Team provides support to guests’ traveling companions and parties on board.

The Coast Guard uses air and water assets in its search for the missing passenger.
