The United States Navy could have to make a decision within the next six months about whether it arms itself or Ukraine in response to a reported shortage of weapons.

This comment was made Wednesday afternoon by Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro, to a group reporters at the 2023 Surface Navy Association National Symposium, Arlington, Virginia. Defense One editor Marcus Weisberger reported.

Weisberger tweeted to say that, although most of the American weapons given Ukraine are land weapons and not navy weapons, Del Toro’s concerns have been shared by others.

Russia is wrong and should be expelled from Ukraine. Having said that, I’m happy someone in Washington is looking out to American interests in all of this:

Freshman Republican Senator JD Vance will demand that the Biden Administration release a “full Crosscutting” report detailing the exact amount of US security assistance provided to Ukraine between February 2022 and February 2022, in order to allow lawmakers to “make a decision on the wisdom” to increase spending.

Fox News exclusively has a letter Vance (R-Ohio) intends to send the White House Office of Management and Budget Director Shalanda Youth.

It is currently being circulated among Republicans in the Senate as well as the House of Representatives. The letter has been signed by Dan Bishop, the North Carolina GOP Representative, and Josh Hawley, the Missouri GOP Senator.

Bishop stated that Congress has spent more than $100 billion to support Ukraine since February last year, but that there is no way for us to know what the money is going towards. Bishop spoke with Fox News Digital. “The American people should know where their money is going,” Bishop said to Fox News Digital.

The Washington Post:

Vance stated that The Daily 202 should be made aware of the extent to which American taxpayers are supporting our government’s efforts in Eastern Europe. This information is not confidential and I don’t intend to allow the Biden Administration keep it that way.”

I have met conservatives from different parts of Europe who told me it was very difficult to criticize NATO’s policy in Ukraine without being called a Putin simp. They even asked questions about whether the fight should be continued. The only European leader to call for peace before war takes everyone down, Viktor Orban from Hungary, will be vindicated, I believe. He doesn’t necessarily have to be right, but it is important to listen to his views. Here he is, for example, on the West’s global bleeding political capital:
