James Comer, Chair of the House Oversight Committee (Republican from Kentucky), has pledged to continue putting pressure on the White House to provide more information about Biden’s classified, unsecured documents. This is after the administration announced that no visitor logs are available for the Biden residence at Wilmington, Delaware.
Comer wanted to see who entered and exited the home.
Comer exclusively spoke to Fox News Digital Monday, saying that President Biden had promised transparency but is not transparent when it really matters.
Comer continued, “The White House and National Archives withheld information from Congress, the American people, about classified records found at unsecured locations, Joe Biden’s tenure as vice president.” The American people demand transparency and not secrecy. We will continue to press Biden Administration to find out who had access to these classified files and why Biden aides were allowed to search the Wilmington residence after being appointed a special counsel.
Biden’s lawyers claim that it is not uncommon for the POTUS not to have visitor logs for his private residences.
Fox News was told Monday by the White House Counsel that “Like all Presidents in decades of modern history his personal residence is private”.
The White House stated that President Biden had restored the tradition and norm of keeping White House visitors logs after the previous administration ended them.
The Secret Service confirmed that it does not monitor visitors.
Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesperson for the company, stated that they don’t maintain their own visitor logs as it is a private residence.
