Virginia teenager charged with murder in the death of his 4-year-old sibling

A 13-year-old has been charged with first-degree murder in the 2022 death of a 4-year-old sibling, according to the Danville Police Department.

After they murdered their 4-year-old sibling, a 13-year old teen was charged with first-degree killing. Virginia police released a press release Friday.

According to the Danville Police Department, the suspect is accused of assimilation of their 4 year-old sibling on August 20, 2022.

The juvenile victim and suspect were not named.

In August 2022, the Danville Police Department stated that they responded to a call about a 4-year old child who was found dead in a bedroom.

In August 2022 police responded at the siblings’ house and discovered that the 4-year old was not breathing and had lost his pulse. The child was transported to a nearby hospital before being flown to another hospital, where they died later.

In a news release, authorities stated that the charges were filed after the juvenile confessed earlier this week to the crime of suffocating the victim.

After further investigation, police said that the teen was arrested for first-degree murder. The Law Enforcement shared the news that the teen would be transferred to W.W. Moore Detention Center, Danville (Virginia).
