Virginia teenager charged with murder in the death of his 4-year-old sibling

A 13-year-old has been charged with first-degree murder in the 2022 death of a 4-year-old sibling, according to the Danville Police Department.

After they murdered their 4-year-old sibling, a 13-year old teen was charged with first-degree killing. Virginia police released a press release Friday.

According to the Danville Police Department, the suspect is accused of assimilation of their 4 year-old sibling on August 20, 2022.

The juvenile victim and suspect were not named.

In August 2022, the Danville Police Department stated that they responded to a call about a 4-year old child who was found dead in a bedroom.

In August 2022 police responded at the siblings’ house and discovered that the 4-year old was not breathing and had lost his pulse. The child was transported to a nearby hospital before being flown to another hospital, where they died later.

In a news release, authorities stated that the charges were filed after the juvenile confessed earlier this week to the crime of suffocating the victim.
