Rep. Chip Roy (R.TX) and Senator Marco Rubio(R.FL) published Monday’s 18-page report Woke Warsfighters which highlighted the destructive DEI policies that weaken the U.S. Military. They claim the White House’s sustained assault fueled “by woke virtue signaling,” is “eroding our largest source of security in the world.”
“Our military’s sole purpose is to ‘provide the common defense of our country. Rubio and Roy said it cannot be made into a left-wing social experiment. “… It should not be paralyzed in fear of offending progressive pundits or faculty lounges at the Ivy League.”

This report was intended to provide the foundation for the “Restoring Military Focus Act” legislation, which would remove the Pentagon’s chief diversity office responsible for implementing diversity equity and inclusion (DEI), initiatives in DoD.
Rubio stated that the military’s “parroting wokenonsense” was “dumb and dangerous” in a statement revealing the report.
He stated that “We should spend more time considering how to counter Chinese aircraft carrier carriers” and less on pronouns.
The report heaped particular scorn on Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin for ordering a “stand-down”following last year’s Capitol riot to address “extremism” in the ranks.
Roy and Rubio claimed that “Foreign enemies like China and Russia loved to stand-down.” “Their view was simple: The stand-down caused further divisions in America and allowed them tell their people that America’s government was a failure.”
They also referred to the Pentagon’s Countering Extremist Activity Working Group report from December 2021, which found that “cases of prohibited terrorist activity among service personnel were rare.”
The lawmakers stated that there were only 100 cases in a force with more than 2.1million active and reserve troops.
