On Wednesday, President Biden said that he had not tapped the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. Conservative voices have accused Biden of trying to get votes for the midterm elections.
Biden stated that the move was not motivated by politics. It’s motivated to ensure that I keep pushing for what I have been pushing for, which is making sure there’s enough oil being pumped by companies to allow us to be able produce enough gas here at home, the oil we need here, while also moving in the direction of alternative energy.
