White House visits Jason Sudeikis, ‘Ted Lasso’ cast members

The cast of hit show "Ted Lasso" is expected to visit the White House on Monday to discuss efforts to address mental health needs with President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden.

On Monday, the cast of “Ted Lasso,” a hit TV show, will visit the White House to discuss mental health issues with President Joe Biden (and first lady Jill Biden).

An Apple TV+ statement stated that the guests will include Jason Sudeikis (emmy-winning comedian, actor, and soccer coach),

Many themes that are common to the pandemic-era show include optimism, kindness, and determination. In 2021, Dani Rojas, a pro soccer player coached by Lasso made the phrase “Futbol IS Life!” a popular catchphrase.

Biden has spent hundreds of millions of dollars on federal, state, and local efforts to improve mental health in the U.S.

Biden last year called the state of the nation’s mental health a crisis, claiming that it was a result of the coronavirus pandemic which curtailed socializing and left many children and workers homebound.

Federal money has been used by the administration to expand school-based mental healthcare treatment and to train first responders on how to respond to mental health emergencies.

Biden stated that mental health is a concern for all people in a October statement. We can and must do more in America to improve mental health.
