Four members of an Arkansas family have been publicly identified as victims of the fatal home explosion that occurred in Michigan at the weekend.

Authorities have said that the explosion on Saturday was most likely caused by flammable gas in the air, and not as a result from foul play.

Northfield Township Police Department identified the dead as Hope Bragg (51), Don Bragg (53), and their children Kenneth Bragg (22) and Elizabeth Bragg (19), all of Monticello in Arkansas.

Four victims of an explosion at a Michigan home over the weekend have been identified.

The explosion occurred at the home where Hope Bragg’s 72-year-old father, Richard Pruden was staying in critical condition. Stephen Bragg (16) was in stable health.

About 45 miles west from Detroit, the explosion destroyed the house. According to Lt. David Powell, the Braggs were in Michigan for the holidays.

Powell, a witness to the destruction, said: “I have never seen anything quite like it.”

According to their LinkedIn profiles, Hope Bragg taught at the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service and Don Bragg served as a research forestry at the U.S. Forest Service.
