A Texas man’s new year began on a bad note after he was struck by a bullet as he celebrated with family and friends.

Frederico Perez was celebrating the new year 2024 in his family and friends’ company when an errant bullet struck his leg.

We started hearing lots of gunfire and lots of pops. Perez said to FOX 4 that there were “fireworks and gunshots”.

Perez is seen in the surveillance footage enjoying a fire pit with family and friends, until the situation changed and he received the bullet.

On New Year’s Eve, a Texas man was hospitalized following a bullet strike.

Perez pointed to his leg and said: “I felt it here.”

Perez stated that “everything” changed after he felt on his leg.

Perez told a local radio station that “in a matter seconds, everything had changed.” “The party ended, all was stopped. No hugs.”

Frederico and his friends were having a fire pit when tragedy struck. (FOX 4 Fort Worth).

Perez stated that in addition to the pain of being shot, blood was everywhere after the incident.

Perez expressed his gratitude for being alive and that it didn’t strike someone else.

Perez stated, “If the ball had been a bit over this way or slightly to the left it could have hit the girl. If it was a bit to the right it would’ve hit me in the face.”

Perez stated that a part of the bullet was still lodged in his shin. He is also disappointed that the accident has forced him to miss work.
