According to local and school reports, an Ohio high school student is accused of punching so hard at a teacher during a drug-induced delirium that it caused “a serious brain injury.”
According to a police report, the 15-year old student at Colerain High School , in Cincinnati, was “distraught”, after he had “ingested a drug unknown” on Thursday before hitting his teacher.
According to , Fox 19, the 60-year old teacher was rushed by ambulance to University of Cincinnati Medical Center where her skull cap was removed in order to prevent swelling.
According to , WLWT, the student also suffered from a “self inflicted” injury to his head and had fought with another student.

The student has been arrested and charged of felonious assault, but his name was not released due to his age.
The incident occurred around 2:18 p.m. Thursday.

Northwest Local Schools released a statement Friday saying that the incident “was isolated and there is currently no threat to the school’s community in relation to this matter.”
In a recent statement, school officials stated that the district is committed to providing a nurturing and safe environment for students and staff.
