Jennifer Dulos is a 50 year old Connecticut mother of five who disappeared on May 24, 2019. Her remains are still missing.
Fotis Dulos (52), Dulos’ estranged husband, and Michelle Troconis (his girlfriend), were accused of Dulos’ death. Fotis committed suicide soon after being charged. Troconis’ trial starts on Thursday.
Jennifer Farber Dulos’ family released a statement on Wednesday. According to FOX61, it has been four years and seven month since she was murdered and vanished. “We have waited with patience, knowing that justice moves slowly and deliberately [sic], particularly given the disruption caused by a pandemic.
We remain grateful for the tireless efforts of the Connecticut State Police, the New Canaan Police, and the State Attorney’s Office in this case, and the ongoing criminal investigation.

The statement said that, as the trial of Troconis begins, it is “crucial to remember who’s at the centre: Jennifer, whose children have lost both their parents and, in an unfortunate event, their mother.”
Troconis has pleaded no guilt. She has also insisted that she didn’t know what happened when Fotis dumped various garbage bags in his truck while Troconis was in the vehicle, after Jennifer vanished. She claims that she was not aware of a timeline that police had compiled as evidence.

Jennifer Dulos divorces Fotis Dulos after 13 years of marriage. Fotis Dulos is the father of Jennifer’s five children.
Jennifer found out during her divorce proceedings that her husband was having an extramarital relationship with Troconis. This affair had been going on for about a full year, according The New York Times.
The Times reported that Jennifer and her estranged spouse sent their children to private schools in the same year they moved into a New Canaan rental.

According to court documents in Hartford, Jennifer Dulos’ family sued Fotis Dulos for $2.5 million, claiming he owed them money that he borrowed from his parents to buy and renovate homes in Avon, New Canaan and Avon.
According to affidavits, Fotis had accumulated debts of about $7 million by 2019.

Jennifer Dulos dropped her children at school on May 24, 2019 the last time anyone seen her.
Fotis is accused of attacking Jennifer and trying to clean up the crime scene. According to police, he then drove off with her dead body.
The police obtained surveillance footage that night, which showed Fotis, Troconis, and others dumping garbage bags into multiple bins in the capital of Connecticut.
The authorities recovered the bags of trash, and some of them contained DNA samples from Jennifer, Fotis, and Troconis. Some of the items contained blood.

A month after Jennifer’s last sighting, the New Canaan Police Department arrested Fotis and Troconis for evidence tampering.

Fotis will be charged with felony murder, kidnapping and in January 2020.
Troconis, Fotis, and Kent Mawhinney (who represented Fotis as part of a civil lawsuit) are all charged with conspiracy to murder. All three suspects deny any involvement in Dulos’ death. Fotis was released with a $6 million bond and Troconis on a $2 million bond.

The New Canaan Police Department and Connecticut State Police, they said, conducted their investigations with “predetermined assumptions and unsupported conclusion.”

According to CT Insider, a probate court judge has declared Jennifer Dulos deceased based on the evidence available.
Troconis’ trial is scheduled to begin in Stamford two days after the declaration.
