FIRST on FOX – The Biden Administration is under pressure from a number of human rights and religious organizations for not designating Nigeria a country of particular concern (“CPC”) in the wake of the brutal murder of more than 200 Christians.

In a letter sent to Secretary of State Antony Blinken by two dozen groups including Advancing America Freedom, Alliance Defending Freedom and the Hudson Institute as well as former Ambassador Sam Brownback, and former defense and security officials, scolded State Department over its “refusal to designate Nigeria a CPC” – calling this lack of action “unconscionable.”

“A little over two weeks ago, nearly 200 Nigerian Christians were martyred while celebrating Christmas. According to some accounts, these Christians were “killed for sports.” Just weeks before, the Christian Association of Nigeria had received a threat against celebrating Christmas.

The letter continues, “The international community of religious freedom is outraged by your refusal to hold evil acts accountable.”
