White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters on Wednesday that “no executive action” can fix the border as well as a bipartisan effort — despite Biden taking 94 executive actions to dismantle Donald Trump’s border and send it spiraling into chaos.

“Is the administration still debating taking executive action on immigration,” one reporter asked KJP.

“The bottom line is the best way to move forward in dealing with immigration and the border challenges that we’re seeing was for Republicans to have gotten out of the way, not let the former President tell them what to do, and actually move forward with a bipartisan proposal that came out of the Senate,” KJP told reporters.

“That would have been the toughest, the fairest way to have moved forward in dealing with immigration. As it relates to an executive action…no executive action would have had the impact that bipartisan legislation would have had,” KJP added.

KJP then hedges a bit by saying nothing has been decided, despite previous reports that Biden is getting ready to take executive action at the border.
