Taylor Budowich calls grand jury appearance a bogus and deeply disturbing effort
Budowich, who confirmed his appearance in front of the federal grand jury on Monday, slammed Trump’s investigation into the handling of classified information as “a bogus and deeply disturbing effort to use government power to ‘get’ the former president.”
The former Trump spokesperson said: “I answered all questions honestly and fulfilled my legal obligation of testifying in front of a federal grand jury.”
He added, “America is a sick nation — one that has been deteriorated by Joe Biden and the power-hungry Democrats.” “I won’t be intimidated by the weaponization of government.” “It has never been clearer to me that we must unite America and make it great again.”
Budowich stated that he “will not be deterred” from his pursuit of Trump’s reelection.

Trump TV ad criticizes Special Counsel Smith
Garrett Haake
The Trump campaign released a new advertisement today that previews his political response to possible criminal indictments. It portrays prosecutors including Special Counsel Jack Smith as “wolves” who are working to distract America from President Joe Biden’s problems.
According to the Trump campaign’s announcement, the new ad will be aired on national cable, but it hasn’t yet been released. It opens with the same question as Trump himself asked in his social media posts. “How far are the extremist left and the Beltway bandits prepared to go to stop Trump?”
Trump has long referred to criminal investigations of his conduct as president or as a citizen as “elections interference.” This is an attempt to use the courts against him when his political opponents could not. This ad shows that at least some money from Trump’s war chest is behind this argument.
“Let’s try to impeach him.” A narrator tells us to get radical left prosecutors, including former FBI director James Comey, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and Smith, to charge him. Images of former special counsel Robert Mueller, former Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg and former FBI Director James Comey appear on screen. “Let’s conspire together with Hillary and FBI to spread fake stories about him, all to distract attention from Biden’s corruption, incompetence and weakness.”
The ad features a gnarled wolf intercut with other images including footage of Biden falling off the stage during an event last weekend.
After his arrest in New York, Trump rallied Republicans in his defense by using a similar argument. This forced Republicans to choose between a “radical-left” DA or the frontrunner of their party. At the time, all major GOP candidates, with the exception of Asa Hutchison embraced Trump’s argument. His campaign boasted of a boost in fundraising of more than 12 million dollars in the immediate wake of his indictment.

Taylor Budowich made public statements regarding Trump’s handling documents
Taylor Budowich, as a spokesman of the former president, and his PAC also made public statements in response to media inquiries about the investigation by the special counsel into the documents. This could make him an important witness.
The Washington Post cited him in an article from October 12, 2022 in which he refused to provide detailed answers to questions, but instead provided a written statement. He will be questioned today by prosecutors about how he obtained information about Trump’s retention and movement of classified documents.

In the Trump dossier probe, dozens of Secret Service agents were subpoenaed to appear before grand jury or have appeared in court.
Two sources confirmed on Tuesday that about two dozen Secret Service Agents have been subpoenaed to appear before a federal grand jury in Washington, which is investigating the handling of classified papers by former President Donald Trump.
Sources say that prosecutors interviewed the agents who were assigned to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago security detail in Florida. About 24 of them have been asked by prosecutors to testify to a grand jury. The sources claimed that all complied.
Sources said that the testimony took place in “the past few months,” which means not recently since the grand jury was on break.
