Tim Scott shuts down the racist narrative on The View.

South Carolina Senator and 2024 presidential candidate Tim Scott sat down with the hosts of The View to address the issue of racism in America; “yesterday’s exception is today’s rule,” Scott says.

Tim Scott, South Carolina senator and presidential candidate for 2024 Tim Scott sat with the hosts of The View in order to discuss the issue of racism. “Yesterday’s exceptional is today’s norm,” Scott said.

“Progress is palpable in America, and it can be measured by generations.” My grandfather was born 1921 in Sally in South Carolina. Scott shared that when a white man was approaching, my grandfather had to step back and avoid eye contact. “That man, who has some doubts now, believed in the goodness and potential of America because he thought that his faith in God, himself, and the future for his children would bring him opportunities that you could not imagine. You can see the progress made by changing stations. All of the major networks, including ABC, NBC and CBS, have African American or Hispanic hosts. “I’m saying that yesterday’s exceptional is now the rule.”

Sunny Hostin, co-host of the show, jumped into the conversation.

“No, America’s concept is that we will become a perfect union. The challenges we faced in 50 and 60 years’ time should not be the same as the ones we face now.

Scott’s appearance in The View was much anticipated because of previous comments made on Joy Behar, the host. She accused Senator Scott and Supreme Court Judge Clarence Thomas not understanding racism.

He didn’t exactly say that he was pro-choice. However, he did mention that he would vote whatever the Republicans put on the table. Behar explained that he was not pro-choice. “And he is one of those guys who, like Clarence Thomas a black Republican who believes that ‘pull yourself by your bootstraps’, rather than understanding to me the systemic racism faced by African Americans in this country or other minorities. He doesn’t get it. Clarence doesn’t get it either.

Behar didn’t appear on the show Monday to face Senator Scott.
