Vladimir Putin, Russian President, is a war criminal.

A report by Fox News states thatPresident Putin is under arrest for war crimes. It was issued in accordance with the International Criminal Court. Russia claims the warrant does not have any meaning for their country.

This warrant was issued as a response to Russia’s kidnapping of Ukrainian children.

From Fox News :

Friday’s warrant was also issued for Maria Alekseyevna Lvova–Belova, the Commissioner for Children’s Rights at the Office of President of Russia. This is after the ICC declared that there are “reasonable ground to believe that each suspect is responsible for the war crime, unlawful deportation, and unlawful transfer of population, from occupied parts of Ukraine to Russian Federation, to the disadvantage of Ukrainian children.”

The United States does not belong to the ICC. It neither acknowledges nor assists the authority of this judicial body.

According to the ICC, Putin was “allegedly responsible for war crimes of unlawful deportation (children)” and unlawful transfer (children), from occupied territories of Ukraine to Russia.

Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, dismissed the warrant of arrest, saying that “The decisions of International Criminal Court have not meaning for our country, even from a legal perspective.”

Zakharova stated that Russia is not a member of the Rome Statute of International Criminal Court. She also said that Russia does not have obligations under the Rome Statute. “Russia doesn’t cooperate with this body and any “recipes”, for arrest, coming from the International Court of Justice, will be legally null.
